Chana Dal, also known as baby split chickpeas, have a sweet and nutty flavour. Chana Dal should be soaked in water for an hour before cooking. I can then be used in soups, salads, curries, and dips. Dry Chana Dal can also be ground into Besan flour, a popular gluten free alternative used in many recipes.
